S.Y.B.A. Recreation League Mission Statement:

Southington Youth Basketball Association is a non-profit organization (501c3) dedicated to the positive development of Southington's youth through their participation in a safe, healthy, and affordable basketball program that is fun and rewarding for all.

S.Y.B.A.'s objectives are to teach and train basketball players and coaches, develop leadership qualities and promote good sportsmanship among players, coaches, parents, officials and spectators.

S.Y.B.A. will provide children with the opportunity to participate in a basketball experience where they can develop positive self-esteem and build character by learning the virtues of hard work, fair play, respect, honesty, self control, teamwork, sportsmanship, and other learnings that are transferrable to the journey of life. 

To achieve these goals, S.Y.B.A. will endeavor to select dedicated leaders and qualified coaches who share these ideals and recognize that each child is valuable and the game is for and about the kids.
